Here at Sterrific, we have managed to get in contact with this lovely company! We asked them a few questions about the business and here is what they had to say!
The Founding Idea
The idea came when the founder, Nur Alia, tried to search for a phone case that has a unique identity and characteristics that can reflect her personality.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t find one in the Malaysian market. So, she then began researching and decided to start her own!
StreetCase was then founded in 2013 as an enterprise company and in 2016, we made the decision to go bigger by registering as Sdn. Bhd.
The Artists and the Works
The founder, Nur Alia, along with the collaboration from Malaysian artists and international artists, with some coming from as far as Portugal, all help in creating the art for the phone cases.
So far we have sold 9,400 phone cases since 2016, with our most popular choice being the Name Series and Special Touch series.
It should take 3 to 5 working days, to get the designs out and you can even put your own designs on the phone cases if you want that extra personal touch.
Phone Models and Durability
Our phone cases cater to OPPO, Huawei and VIVO, but on selected models only. We tend to pick the models which are high in demand in Malaysia, such as the P30 or P30 Pro.
We would test the cases by having one of our staff use them for 3 months, if it is still in good condition by then, we put it up for sale!
What is your main method of marketing?
We market our cases on the internet via online marketing! Using Instagram and Facebook along with the website.
What is the biggest challenge your company faces?
Training and educating our staff on how to create a custom-made order or orders you which you can choose from our Instagram.
We also see a challenge in ensuring that your own designs are compatible with the range of cases for different phone models.
Words of Advice
Find your own passion and start your own journey. Do not compare yourself or your brand with others, as this can make you feel down and lose your confidence.
Of course, there are moments when you feel that you want to give up, but your passion will guide you through those moments and help you stand up again.
